+ Mark Wogman, Chairman

Mark is well known with the commercial property industry, having been heavily involved for over 40 years. Having started at Edward Symmons & Co he spent a few years working within the industrial team before moving to Allsop commercial department. Within a relatively short period of time Mark became partner before taking the “leap of faith” to go it alone and thus established in 1978 the highly regarded commercial brokering firm Wogman and Partners. Mark’s younger brother Paul later joined the firm and the two brothers basing themselves out of 123 New Bond Street concentrated on lettings, sales and investments of commercial property. In 1982 Maurice Investments was created to primarily concentrate purchasing efforts on single tenanted office buildings around the UK that provided low risk covenant secured opportunities.

Day to day roles include improving the portfolio value through comprehensive asset management and he takes a particular interest in building and maintaining working relationships with the many tenants across the portfolio. Mark is a mathematics wizard which greatly assists the team in all manner of bank and other sourced funding and accounting matters. A pivotal individual within the organisation and rarely uncontactable via email! His interests revolve around travelling, brisk walking and most importantly grandchildren!

+ Gavin Wogman, Managing Director

Gavin has been involved in commercial property for over 20 years, starting in 1995 as a commercial lettings and sales agent located in Central London. It was a hugely grounding learning experience but having a keen passion for food and restaurants, Gavin then decided to move across to the licensed leisure property and spent 6 successful years immersed in that industry sector holding positions within notable and highly respected companies such as Chesterton PLC and Davis Coffer Lyons.

Gavin then joined forces with Mark in 2006 taking a lead role in Maurice Investments as co-principle and director to assist with the ever growing investment portfolio which they both grew to include hotels, warehousing, residential and even a holiday park to sit alongside the commercial properties. Gavin also took over full ownership of Wogman & Partners to continue lettings and sales of properties on behalf of clients. In early 2012 Gavin and Mark focused all attentions on buying commercial unmodernised buildings in the City Fringe areas of London noting low capital values and spotting an increasing demand of office take up in these locations given the relatively low rents to occupiers and the Governments drive to create a high speed internet zone for occupiers within the “TMT” (technology, media and telecommunications) sector. It proved a very clever and timely move and over the forthcoming years a number of other commercial buildings were purchased.

The group of companies has also diversified into commercial and residential development opportunities since 2014, having most recently completed a 121 East London apartment development plus 40,000 sq ft of commercial and leisure. Another recently completed scheme includes duplex penthouse offices of 15,000 sq ft in Old Street. Furthermore there is a pipeline of developments over the next four years based on repositioning current assets and a continued appetite for further commercial led opportunities to add to the existing portfolio. Gavin also has interests within the serviced office sector having set up Business Cube alongside his business partner who runs and asset manages the day to day operations. This company has gone from strength to strength over recent years having secured buildings in a number of in demand London locations.

Day to day activities involve sourcing new investment and development opportunities , overseeing the external wider teams on refurbishment and development projects having a keen eye for detail and occupiers wellbeing, in addition to assisting the in-house team on day to day asset management of the portfolio.

Out of hours Gavin enjoys sourcing and trying new restaurants, networking events, health and fitness, playing tennis, socialising, exotic holiday destinations and last but not least red wine!

+ Katie Wogman, Company Director

Katie Wogman is a Director of Maurice Investments and is also the Head of the Property Management Department.

Katie assists and advises the property managers on the day to day running of the entire property portfolio which is predominantly in the city.

Katie is also involved in acquiring additional properties and enhancing and improving all properties within the portfolio including refurbishment and development.

In her spare time Katie enjoys long walks with her to 2 dogs, going to theatre, white wine and adding to her collection of handbags.

+ Ren Hudaverdi, Property Manager

Ren has 17 years’ experience in Property Management and prior to Maurice Investments she worked for two Chartered Surveying firms in the West End and City.

In 2014 Ren joined Maurice Investments and since then she has been managing a varied portfolio of properties comprising commercial, residential and retail.

Day to day property management duties include setting up service charge budgets, raising all charges to tenants, chasing monies and paying contractors, arranging all service contracts and repairs, liasing with contractors, tenants and security staff on site, and dealing with all health and safety issues at the sites.

Ren enjoys spending her spare time socialising with friends and attending the theatre and comedy shows.

+ Ian McHardy RICS, Head of Building Surveying

Ian joined Maurice Investments Ltd in February 2017 as the in-house property building surveyor bringing 30 years of experience as a Chartered Building Surveyor and Chartered Project Manager to assist in the maintenance and asset enhancement of the property portfolio and complement and support the compact team. Being from the north, Ian endeavours to add a flare of “northern themes” and his great love of the outdoors (walking) helps offset his love for food and watching films.

+ Kalpesh Sanghvi, Financial Controller

Kalpesh qualified as a Chartered Certified Accountant in March 2000 with a practice in London. In 2008 he moved to industry and since gained experience in different types of industries. Kalpesh joined the group in February 2016 as a Financial Controller and is primarily responsible for the finance function and also works closely with all the directors.

Away from work Kalpesh loves playing and watching football, cricket and volleyball. He also enjoys travelling, watching movies and listening to music.

Kalpesh is a passionate supporter of Liverpool Football club and this is a good subject to start with when you meet him.

+ Marc Torres, Office Manager and Administration

Brazilian born Marc moved to London in 2005. In 2015 Marc gained his LLM in International Business Law from Middlesex University.

Prior to Maurice Investments Marc worked for 10 years as an Events Manager at the most prestigious cultural venues around London and in August 2016 he joined Maurice Investments Limited as a receptionist. In September 2017 Marc was appointed as Office Manager and Administration. Marc is developing his skills in property management.

In his spare time Marc enjoys travelling, dancing and socialising with friends and family.
